About Harbor
The Harbor series of armchairs and ottoman, presented with success in 2017, is enhanced by a new, equally contemporary and sinuous sofa.‎ A range extention in the sign of design continuity, result of Fukasawa’s research into seating in the shape of upside-down truncated cone.‎ The sofa reflects in particular the architectural, ergonomic shape of the conversation armchair, compounding its welcoming appeal by hosting two people.‎ In fabric or leather, it has a visible metal zip on the rear of the backrest that acts as a decorative element and also allows the cover to be removed.‎ Technical information – Internal frame tubular steel and steel profiles – Internal frame upholstery Bayfit® flexible cold shaped polyurethane foam, polyester fibre cover – Swivel base-frame (HA80A-HA80B) steel laminate and aluminium – Base-frame (HA160-HA61P) steel laminate – Headrest (HA_P) shaped polyurethane, polyester fibre, cotton cover, counterweight in anodized aluminium and steel – Tray (HA65V) solid wood, veneered wood fibre panel – Ferrules thermoplastic material – Cover fabric or leather Naoto Fukasawa continues his research on upside-down truncated cone shaped seats, and, for this project addresses B&B Italia’s need to explore the seating with arms.‎ Two forms are ergonomically designed and developed to obtain a relaxing easy chair with a high back and headrest, and a conversation armchair with a low back.‎ Both armchairs have a rotating base and visible metal zipper in the back that, as with the iconic Papilio series, allow to remove the covering, available in fabric or leather.‎ To these seats are added a third form, a pouf on top of which a tray element can be supported, allowing complementary use as a table.‎
