About Round D.154.5

The mid 1950s denoted a defining moment in Gio Ponti’s furniture plans, towards exceptionally imaginative arrangements connected to useful and fundamental shapes.‎ Several viewpoints pushed Ponti towards this better approach for designing.‎ The finish of the Second World War, with the longing to restart and revamp an advanced world brimming with curiosities, subsequently moving away from the past; the accessibility of inventive materials, which made it conceivable to consider objects that were beforehand unworkable; a mechanical vision of configuration, on account of the new-conceived Italian industry which started to deliver furniture in enormous series.‎ The Round project (D.‎154.‎5) completely fulfilled Ponti’s plan mentality of the period.‎ Designed in 1954, full creation started in 1956/1957 and it was authoritatively introduced at the eleventh Milan Triennale in 1957.‎ Today, Round (D.‎154.‎5) was renewed because of the Heritage Collection reissue project by Molteni&C, in a joint effort with the Gio Ponti Archives, and it is essential for the 2021 Collection.‎ Featuring a wooden construction of multifaceted debris and dark chrome or brushed metal feet, the Round D.‎154.‎5 seat can be covered with all our scope of Molteni&C material and cowhide collections.‎ Molteni&C is rethinking its own set of experiences with an eye to the future.‎ The 80!Molteni presentation, the formation of the organization’s authentic file and its as of late initiated Molteni Museum have given a chance to restoration, from the beginnings of modernity.‎ Intriguing follows have risen up out of a past that ends up being contemporary, ready for a reconsider today.‎ Unique pieces that can step straight out of their gallery exhibits and into our contemporary homes.‎
