About Parentesi
Pio Manzù had the first thought for Parentiesi. He concocted a decent upward blast and a round and hollow box with an opening for the light, which went all over: you halted it with a screw. He supplanted the blast with a metal harmony that, when twisted makes grinding and empowers the lamp to be in position without requiring any screws’ Achille Castiglioni. This lamp won the Compasso d’Oro grant in 1979. Lamp giving direct light. Lamp moves upward through sliding of a painted or nickel-plated formed steel tube on a roof to-floor steel link (4000 mm long). Fixture head made of infusion shaped dark elastomer lodging a switch. Length of force rope from lamp-holder 4000 mm. Net weight 3 kg.
