About La Bibliothèque Fil
Ligne Roset currently presents to us the steel wire racking which Pierre Paulin planned in 1972. Minimalist, it weds the enamel of its steel wire structure with the multi-employ utilized for its shelves. It is built around modules of W 70 cm which might be duplicated as desired. It is conceivable, for instance, to make a 2 module racking unit W 140 cm by comparing two modules W 70 cm held together by 2 nylon connecting pieces each bearing Pierre Paulin’s stamp. Each rack has scores cut into it, into which the upward uprights of the design are embedded: this rich strategy for gathering builds up the solidness of the by and large piece. The racks lay on little steel wire circles patched onto the uprights. Structure in lacquered steel wire Ø 10 mm. Each module W 70 cm sits on 4 flexible jack feet. The 3 module racking unit contains 3 modules W 70 cm, held together by connecting pieces and retires W 210 cm. Shelves in 8 mm thick birch multi-handle completed in cover with the wood edges visible. Internal elements of every ‘chest’: H 38 W 33.3 D 33. MAX RECOMMENDED LOAD PER SHELF : 25 KG. BOOKSHELF MUST BE FIRMLY FIXED TO A WALL TO PREVENT IT TIPPING FORWARDS.
