##### About Blog

Experience the sublime fusion of Japanese aesthetics and modern design with the Bonsai coffee table. Designed by the renowned Claesson Koivisto Rune, this low-height, rectangular coffee table from our Bonsai collection invites a sense of tranquility and elegance into your interior spaces.

The Bonsai coffee table is an ode to the timeless beauty of Japan’s meticulously cultivated gardens. Characterised by soft, curved forms, this table mimics the cloud-like shapes of trimmed shrubs and bushes found across Japan’s exquisite landscapes.

Crafted from premium quality wood, the Bonsai coffee table showcases an intriguing contrast of forms. Its curvaceous, upholstered top seems to float above the floor, supported by a rectilinear wooden platform resting on low, wooden legs. This design element is inspired by tokonoma, a traditional Japanese practice of highlighting cherished objects, such as a Bonsai tree, on a horizontal surface.

The platforms of the Bonsai coffee table serve as a dedicated frame within a larger context, a feature spot in your room where you can display beloved items or even arrange potted plants. Integrated elements such as an optional lamp with a fabric shade and a recessed stone or mirror plate add to the table’s functionality and aesthetic appeal.

The Bonsai coffee table’s upholstered seats are crafted from moulded polyurethane foam. Further enhancing the table’s versatility, the platforms are available in wood finishes such as painted wengé, oak, or chocolate. You can also opt for platforms supported on simple black metal legs.

The Bonsai coffee table is more than a piece of furniture. It is a statement of an appreciation for the harmonious relationship between nature, design, and art. Its inviting, friendly shape paired with the stark, modern platform is perfect for those who value beautiful aesthetics.

Step into serenity and style with the Bonsai coffee table. Please inquire to learn more about pricing and make this unique piece part of your living space.
