##### About Blog

Illuminate your space with the exquisite Akari 9a table lamp, a masterpiece from the Akari light sculptures collection designed by the renowned Isamu Noguchi. This modern lamp combines Japanese paper and steel to create a stunning piece that exudes elegance and sophistication.

Crafted by skilled Japanese artisans using traditional washi paper, the Akari Light Sculptures are a symbol of Noguchi’s artistic vision and dedication to quality craftsmanship. The paper lampshade emits a warm, inviting glow, creating a serene atmosphere in any room.

Inspired by his visit to Gifu, a town known for its paper lanterns, Noguchi designed the Akari Light Sculptures with a focus on lightness and luminosity. The name ‘akari’, meaning ‘light’ in Japanese, perfectly captures the essence of these beautiful luminaires.

Each Akari light sculpture is meticulously handcrafted in the Ozeki studio, ensuring the highest level of quality and attention to detail. The process involves stretching bamboo bars across wooden frames, attaching strips of washi paper, and carefully folding the shade to create a unique and intricate design.

With a range of sizes available, from table lamps to floor and ceiling lamps, the Akari Light Sculptures offer versatility and style for any space. Whether you’re looking to add a touch of elegance to your living room or create a soothing ambiance in your bedroom, the Akari 9a table lamp is the perfect choice.
