##### About Blog

Elevate your space with the exquisite Akari 45a pendant lamp from the Akari light sculptures collection designed by the renowned Isamu Noguchi. Embodying a modern aesthetic, this stunning piece combines Japanese paper with steel to create a truly unique lighting fixture that will enhance any interior.

Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the Akari Light Sculptures are hand-tailored by skilled artisans using traditional washi paper, resulting in a luminaire that exudes a sense of weightless luminosity. The name ‘akari’ itself signifies both enlightenment and physical lightness, reflecting Noguchi’s vision of merging functionality with artistic expression.

Inspired by a visit to Gifu, a town known for its paper craftsmanship, Noguchi’s Akari Light Sculptures showcase a harmonious blend of form and function. Each piece is carefully constructed in the Ozeki studio, where bamboo poles are stretched across wooden frames to create the lamp’s structure, which is then enveloped in delicate washi paper before being meticulously folded into its final shape.

Available in a range of sizes, the Akari 45a pendant lamp is a statement piece that will add a touch of elegance to any space. Whether suspended above a dining table or in a cozy corner, this exquisite luminaire will create a warm and inviting ambiance that invites you to relax and unwind.

Experience the timeless beauty and craftsmanship of the Akari 45a pendant lamp and elevate your interior with a touch of modern sophistication. Contact us today to inquire about pricing and bring this exquisite piece of design into your home.
