##### About Blog

The Akari 3a table lamp is a stunning addition to any modern interior design. Designed by the renowned artist Isamu Noguchi, this lamp is part of the Akari light sculptures collection, known for their delicate Japanese paper lampshades. Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Gifu, Japan, each lamp is a work of art that exudes a sense of weightless luminosity.

The name ‘akari’ in Japanese means ‘light,’ reflecting the lamp’s ability to illuminate a space with both physical light and a sense of enlightenment. Noguchi’s inspiration for the Akari Light Sculptures came from his visit to Gifu, where he observed the traditional craftsmanship of paper lanterns and parasols.

The Akari 3a features a steel frame wrapped in Japanese washi paper, creating a soft and warm glow when lit. Available in various sizes, this table lamp is a versatile piece that can be used in a variety of settings, from living rooms to bedrooms and offices.
